HP iPAQ hw6940 (finally) alive on HP's US site
We noticed the phone
was up on their UK site yesterday, but now that 3GSM has
rolled around, HP is letting us all into the hw6900 party with the HP iPAQ hw6940 Mobile Messenger that is now up on
their US site. It's still bedecked in all of its previously spied Windows
Mobile 5.0, EDGE, 802.11b, GPS, and USB 1.1 glory, but now we get to see it in its natural habitat with a "late
Spring 2006" availability to keep it company.

Hmmm, looks good - I fancy one of these!!! Will have to have a look and see if they will come out in the UK!
This 'update' to the HW6515 is essentially Windows Mobile 5.0, built-in WiFi, and they removed an SD card slot..
Hopefully they've fixed some of the battery problems that plagued the past version. Guess we'll have to wait for the reviews to start popping up..
I have the HW6515 and this looks like a nice upgrade. The only problem I have had with the HW6515 is it does not have non-volatile memory for the phone numbers (I lost all mine recently because of this). I hope they fixed it in this version.
BTW, I lobe Engadget and can't wait to see how the Mobile page works out.
Looks like entry into USA is delayed until Summer.
If anyone knows when it is available in UK, pls advise. Also will UK unit work in USA ?
