Hands-on with Sony Ericsson's W950i Walkman phone
Now that
it's been officially announced at 3GSM, the buzz about Sony Ericsson's W950i Walkman phone is
only growing stronger. PhoneScoop got a chance to go hands-on with the 4GB music powerhouse, and found it to be no less
than "one of the most innovative mobile music experiences out there, even more so than the iPod." In
particular, they liked the touchscreen display, which controls most of the music functions, allowing navigation by
album cover and other intuitive parameters. Sounds sweet, and we can't wait to see -- and hear -- it for ourselves.

Like Apple, SE can do no wrong!!!!
Haters sit down.
this doesnt have a camera huh? i would opt for this if it had a camera.
yeah, but for the $800-1000 you guys were speculating during the podcast- its still a little steep
I'm glad to see some more high end phones that don't have cameras. I never use the camera in my K700i and have decided my next phone won't have one... but i the past that meant getting a crap phone.
I'm looking at this, but I cant help but compare this with the next-gen, "video i-pod" that everyone is talking about. I like this set, but I would really love a camera in this.
Did anyone remember the s700. It had a CCD lens in it, and quite possilby the best camera on a phone to date. I wish they hadnt taken it out in it's spiritual successor, the w900. If they had kept that CCD lends and taken out a few of the other useless things, like the extra camera for conference call, I would have been using that today instead of loading my treo with an SD card for my music.
Sony BLOWS IT AGAIN...
Does it have MP3? - check
Does it have memory for 'content'? - check
Is it a 3G phone? - check
Does it have a big screen to view 'content'? - check
By 'content' do you mean videos and photos? - check
Can I use it for video calls? - Er No.
Can I take photos on it? - Er, No.
So it's a 3G multi media phone with out a camera? - check
WTF are Sony on? There ya go another still born Sony product. You, just know Samsung are going to do a similar model but they'll be smart enough to include a camera.
