Some may say that, and perhaps Helio mentioned it in their PR (I dont quite recall, though I've been keeping tabs on them for months), but I think their demographic is going to be a lot larger - with our without them intending it. I believe a lot of fellow geeks and phone phreaks have been waiting for a carrier than genuinely tries to push the envelope, even if only in terms of mobile content at first. Part of Helio's deal is that they're going to allow full consumer control of the phone's content - that is, you're free to load on wallpapers, ringers, movies, music, and so forth without it being "signed" or anything (I'm lookign at you, Verizon).
Sprint's been pretty good at this, but lately even their pay-for content has been really bland. Hopefully Helio will really utilize the hardware and the network's EV-DO speeds...
