"I've found myself using my PC for a lot of conversations lately, and I'm also considering recording a podcast to share with anyone who will listen. There are tons of USB headset / microphones out there, and I'm hoping someone has some solid recommendations based on experience. I'll consider both headsets and standalone mics, by the way, but I'd like to keep the bill under $100 if possible. Help!"
That isn't really that small - that's a 13x13 QFN SiP with two dies inside - what's the z-height like? a 4x5 package is small, sure, but not considerably smaller than some of the larger players in this market. Plus it's only b/g. And 90uA "standby" power consumption does not a low-power-device make. what's the active-RX and TX current consumption?
All in all interesting, but nowhere near revolutionary.
