Nokia's BH-601 Bluetooth headset FCC approved
The FCC isn't necessarily in the business of glamour photography, as evidenced by this lovely shot, but they
sure take a lot of sneaky pictures, and in this case they're of the BH-601 Bluetooth stereo headset from Nokia to go
along with their Bluetooth
audio adapter. We hope this FCC approval means they're due stateside soon, 'cause we're so over this lame mono biz,
and we wouldn't mind the 8 hours of talk time, MP3 player controls, and quick switching between music and phone calls
neither.

nice
OK I love my bluetooth headset and all, but I hate the looks that people give me when they see me walking around aimlessly talking to myself. And I make these same looks at other people that are using theirs.
But this is a bit big to be using for talking don't you think? It'd be great for home theater use, but damn...I can't see people talking with these. They'll just look clinically insane.
those are hot
Price??
Is it just me or do those look a little big? BTW I use this headset: http://wi-gear.com - great if you have both an iPod and BT phone but the iPod isn't BT yet although the Nokia one looks like it'd be good for nokia musicphones.
ya, what kinda $$$ are these things running at?
Don't know about that design, but maybe the quality might be an improvement over a lot of the current headphones on the market.

cool they look like something outta star trek, look like something from the future lol
Finally! I've been waiting for Nokia to get on the BlueTooth bandwagon. I went from a 6800 to a 6101 for the sole reason that having an FM radio is a must have for me. The only thing I've been missing is the BlueTooth headphones (so I can go seemlessly from NPR on the FM to tunes on the laptop.) The sweet thing about FM is that you can slap an FM transmitter on your MP3 device of choice (iTrip, etc) and get the best of all worlds. (Though FM *in* the BlueTooth headset would probably beat everything, like a universal wireless connector)
Now if they release the 6132 with the BlueTooth built in (or what ever the T-Mo flavor is, I'll be in business (although a bit lighter in the wallet) I could live with the pop-port stub though.
Can't wait to see if these are better than the moto varietah......
Wicked ugly
Wow, those are ugly! I'm glad they're doing it though. It's about time. Although their Bluetooth stereo implementation on the 8801 rather sucks. I'll stick with my iMuffs. Just can't wait for the nano/video adapter to come out! http://www.wi-gear.com/products/imuffs
Yep
Just bought a pair in Qatar and they work well only problem is they are not in stereo from the real player on a 6630 phone. You do get full control of win media player and i tunes using the AV adaptor provided in full surround stereo.
Cost $110.
Anybody can find a fix for the mono output from the phone for MP3 would be glad to know it.
