Nokia's UMTS E60 gets FCC approval
Earlier this month we saw Nokia's HDD sporting N91 and their QWERTY E70 gain FCC approval on their way to a US
release, and now they're being joined by the low-frills candybar E60 in the FCC's
cellphone leakage emporium test results site. Though it might not look all fancy, there's a lot to love here,
including a 352x408 display, WiFi, UMTS, EDGE, S60 Symbian, and 70MB of storage. No camera, but seeing as this is a
business oriented phone, that might be a good thing.

dammit! when are these coming out!! both the e60 and e61 look freaking awesome, and i wasn't aware that this one came with wifi, that really sweetens the deal.
Sweet phone. The WIFI is the one thing that might make me choose this over a SE M600.
These guys are dangerously close to stealing my alias. I'd sue but I'm poor.
That's just hella confusing. Now someone will pull out a seemingly cheap looking Nokia that has WiFi and everything.
Keep up the great work, EM!
I believe that this is Nokia's smallest smartphone ever. Nice specs too, if you don't want a camera.
If you read through the user manual that's posted, you'll find that it also has PTT and a RSS Reader built into the software. NOICE!!
It's weird that people keep describing this phone as low-frills or cheap looking, when it is clearly a high end phone. Apart from a camera it is absolutely jam-packed with features. It's one of the most advanced phones Nokia will make this year.
Fugly. Me likey the E70, though.
As usual Cingular is supposed to carry the e61 and yet it no where near being ready. What the hell are they doing? Screwing the software up with their own limitation crap? Yeah, yeah buy an unlocked phone. You want to pay $900 for your phones? I think Nokia has some of the best phones out there, looks and all, but they know their limitation with FCC, carries and all that crap is why they don't push as hard as they can and should with phones.
Add one more thing... I miss how ATTWS carried so many phones like over 47 of them, Cingular takes over and they have what? 33 phones now? T-Blo has only 16 phones, Verizon, 38?
Another great phone we'll never see here :(
