Hands-on with the Sony Ericsson W950

These shots definitely do NOT do this handset justice, but this morning we also got play with the W950, Sony Ericsson's new high-end Walkman phone that'll come with up to 4GB of internal memory (and is way sleeker than it's fellow 4GB musicphone, the Nokia N91). Not sure how much this bad boy is going to cost, but it can't be cheap to squeeze 4GB of memory into a phone, right? Either way, the perfectly flat keypad was more tactile than we'd expected (though it might not be so hot using it every day), and the 2.6-inch, QVGA touch screen was nice and crisp.

Wow. Not bad looking.
The phone looks nice with that flush keypad, but I can't go without a nice satisfying click from some raised keys.
TOUCH screen? Wow, I'm not an SE fan, but this looks incredible.
my new phone!!! or the m600. lets hope it doesnt go above $1000CAN
yay!! finally a feature packed phone the size (roughly) of my old T616 and not my clunker S710a...
any news on what the camera is gonna be like?
If I'm not mistaken, isn't this thing only tri-band? That would suck if we don't get this thing in N. America. Can anybody confirm or deny this?
Thas has to be one of the nicest phone that is coming out...I dont know, but apparently everybody is trying to wion over the Ipods
I hate Sony, but this phone could be nice... the W900i is already tempting.
Am I the only one that thinks:
No directional pad = No thanks!
So every time I want to do something on this phone I need to take out the stylus, using two hands, instead of just using a d-pad? I kinda like the inclusion of the touch screen, even though I'm not a huge fan of them, but the omission of a d-pad is going to give a lot of people serious buyer's remorse.
dont forget this doesnt have a camera.
*drool*
Justin, it's got a clicky-wheel-thing, just like the P-series, so I'm willing to forgive the omission of a d-pad.
So many lovely phones, hopefully they'll hit Orange UK by the time my upgrade comes round :)
Does this really have no camera at all??
Can you use it as phone too??? How? I mean, how do you answer a phone call?
replace their HD series design with this..
sleek!!
Gotta love that touch screen...
Now if only the Moto Razr had a touch screen interface...
This is an August release, ryt?
And also, any ideas on cost?
