I walked in to Cingular the day the 8125 was announced I wanted to buy the phone. She said they didn't have it in store, only online. I asked, "when will it come in" and the lady said to come back in one month. So I go every week. I get a very nice discount on phones and accessories through my employer, so I usually pick phones up at a substantial discount. So I figured, I can pick this phone up at a really good price. Either Cingular changed their buying rules, and are not allowing you to buy a phone without contract, or these people have no idea what I was talking about. Everyone at the store said I have to wait until my contract is over to upgrade my phone, which is in december. What happened to just buying the phone and paying the normal price?
“There's a certain feeling of wading through water with this phone, as every time we went exploring the menus, we were met with a delay long enough to make us doubt our keystrokes registered.”
