I second that emotion, #1. I always thought SPOT watches were a stupid idea, but this is actually kinda cool and useful....
I'd like to thank Seiko for making something functional AND good-looking. We usually get one and not the other these days...

True, make it the size of a regular watch and it might be more appealing. It is not like you can talk on it.
I have seen beepers smaller that that watch. The nano is even smaller.
I love the idea of having your watch alert you of things happening on your phone. I am always missing things for a little while because my phone is in my bag, jacket pocket, etc...
Now, if they can make it more like a real watch (that thing is huge), and still allow it to act as a BT headset, I'd buy it in a second. I think there would be battery issues though. You would have to add your watch to the daily charging list.

This will be the Heat once it's smaller and waterproof. I've also been waiting for something like this to come along...
They could make it one of those motion watches, where it charges as you move.

she's a beauty, or at least the standalone photo is, but when you see it on the japanese girl's wrist (follow the links) it looks like it is the fone. for an idea with such promise i really hope they shrink that down to about 4-5 times smaller than the current incarnation.

absolutely brilliant, i would def. get one of these!
What a waste of time. Add the bluetooth technology to the already popular SPOT watches. Why would the market want to have to wear two different watches in order to accomplish desired functionality. Seiko will lose in the end. They might as well scrap their independent attempt at wrist-top computing and focus their development efforts toward working with MSN Direct. What will Seiko do when our "fossilized" SPOT watches gain bluetooth functionality? I'm guessing they'll piss themselves into oblivion. Peace.
