Want to protect that pricey
smartphone from theft? You could carve
out a cheap phone and turn it into a decoy Bluetooth headset, hiding the real phone in your bag. Or you could
install Eye on Thief, a $7.99 program that monitors your phone's SIM card, and phones home if the card has been
switched. Of course, this will only work if the thief doesn't wipe the phone's memory before swapping the card, but as
far as insurance policies go, this one's a real bargain.
Put the program in ROM and you are SET!!! too bad there is no PalmOS version...
Oh! If only I had this with my other 37 smart-phones!

most people check their phone so often that they become aware it's missing before it would get switched by the thief. at that point, they can contact their carrier to have service suspended.perhaps if the program would suspend it for them rather than merely calling home to tell them,it would be more useful.
