BenQ's P51 gets some more details
Well, looks like BenQ-Siemens has a P51 page up and humming along, so here
are the vital stats: 802.11b/g, SDIO, 65k color QVGA display, 128MB RAM and 128MBflash memory, Bluetooth, SiRFstar III
GPS, Windows Mobile 5.0 AKU2 (MSFP), GSM / GPRS (puhlease!), and an estimated "Q3/2005" launch window listed
in theit press doc (we're hoping they meant Q3 2006, but if this thing was already way late it's not like it wouldn't
be living up to the P50 legacy). Their page, however, states a July 2006 launch, and that "prices will be
determined locally," (i.e. expensive).

Wait, does this thing have cellular on it or not? You haven't mentioned that in the specs and frankly I can't be bothered to do my own research...
Only a 1.3mp camera, c'mon benq-siemens give us 2mp
I bet the keyboard is REALLY uncomfortable
#1, it is Quad-band GSM/GPRS.
It looks like it's just the P50 (which I own) in silver with GPS and Windows Mobile 5. If this is the case, it it still probably quad-band GSM. And I don't find the keyboard on mine uncomfortable at all.
Me, please. I'm ever so deserving..
Oops.. wrong news item. Isn't my face blue.
Please, Smartphone makers: don't you all migrate to WindowsMobile... :|
i hope they all migrate to WM... I like a device to look like its running software created in the last 5 yrs...:0
No bad :)
Who carries/services this phone? Cingular? Verizon? Sprint? T-Mobile?
#11, Obviously Verizon and Sprint will not be supporting GSM phones, if that helps you narrow down your search ;-)
A lot at the spec tells me this is the almost perfect pda phone. It's size and weight are comparable to Treo. But it has QVGA screen, GPS, WiFi, and thankfully it also use SD (SDIO) rather than miniSD or microSD. If only it would support 3G/UMTS that would make it truly perfect. The one and only one.
