Remember that 8GB Windows Mobile 5.0 smartphone from Samsung, the SGH-i310? Oh, it
exists alright, and it's hot. That's a real live scroll-wheel in the center (unlike other phones we've seen),
and it actually feels just about right even though it's mechanical, and not touch sensitive. Click and drool after the
break.
yeah, but does it have a 3.5mm audio port? I hate being tied to the proprietary Samsung earphones.
I have an I600 and have had terrible luck with using it for music because the headphones hurt my ears. The adapter I bought had to be returned 3 times because the wires frayed internally and sound would only come out of one ear when used with the 3.5mm adapter. The adapter is now dead again and was clunky from the get go, especially while jogging.
If these people are serious about a music phone, they had better put a 3.5mm headphone jack on the top of the phone where it wont dig into your leg while listening with the device in your pocket while jogging.
Much as I like the previous iteration, I found it a little too flabby to be a useful phone. Then again, it didn't have an 8GB hard drive - might need to rethink my principles!
“One wonderful Samsung addition to the traditional Android experience is a "real" camera button on the side, which can even register half-presses for focus.”

drool! now only if they can get the real world battery life usage to be 1+ days instead of

The hard disk in this phone looks smaller than a quarter... made by SDK (.85 inch). The next best thing to a 8GB flash drive.

Officially Drooling....
Almost as good looking as the MOTO SLVR, but with 8GB of memory and Windows Mobile, I'll take the Samsung.
Too bad we have to wait till the second half of 2006 for it.
