We finally got a chance to get our sweaty paws on the
the O2 XDA here at CeBIT (we've played with the Prophet unbadged before, however), expected to be released here in
Germany in the next few weeks as the XDA neo. Yeah it might not be as drooliscious as the
HTC Hermes we wrapped
our fingers around yesterday but hey, you won't hear us complaining about this thing. It features, if you recall,
Windows Mobile 5.0 Pocket PC, quad-band GSM / GPRS (no EDGE at O2 Germany!), WiFi, a 65,000 color, QVGA (240 x 320
pixel) display, SD expansion (on top), and a two megapixel digital camera with flash. More pics after the break.

Hmm, looks somewhat like a touch wheel there. I would totally nab one if that's what it is.
It looks nice but I do prefer the HTC Hermes though...
no touch wheel... its just a volume control. Bought one from Imate and love it...
In the US using Cingular. I do miss the keypad... the buttons that appear on the screen for various things are not large enough to use when you cant "feel" the seporation between them...
Heard alot of people online complain about the "slow" processor... I havent notices and Im pretty hard on my phones... you just have to make sure you go in and close the ghost applications every onece and a while becuase hitting the "X" doesnt actually close everything.

yea, can you talk about that wheel a little more? mechanical or touch?
There is no wheel. Its just a 5 way control. The main distinguishing characteristics of this phone is the excellent picture quality of the 2 megapixel camera pictures. Here's a review.

What, no QWERTY goodness? Why even bother?
