LG's MG810 ultra-thin cellphone approved by FCC?
We
won’t pretend to understand the ways of the FCC. Still, it would appear that they have given approval for a
mysterious new ultra-thin LG MG810/810c/810d cellphone. This GSM/GPRS looker passed testing in at least two (850 and
1900MHz) of its supposed three supported bands. A little digging reveals further specs (and that glossy pic) over at
Argentinian site Celularis.
They claim that the MG810 flip is only 14.6-mm thin, throws down a 1.3 megapixel shooter with flash and a second for
video (which usually implies 3G), and Bluetooth. And if we’re reading the machine translation correctly, those
external media keys respond not by touch, but by the heat associated with your finger thereby avoiding accidental
battery discharge while bouncing around your pocket. Expected to drop in “less than six months” giving us
time to load-up on Scooby-snacks and bring a tidy conclusion to this mystery -- punch it Fred, let's roll!

One correction, celularis is an argentinean site, not a spanish one.
This phone was presented, among many others, in Buenos Aires last month. as I know about that presentation, this phone doesnt have a secondary VGA camera, and the correct translation should be "A 1.3MPX camera that also captures video".
Will it connect to the SplashPower wireless charging pad?
GSM? Why bother? The RAZR V3 and V3i have the GSM slim-phone tip covered. CDMA needs some more slim phones that A) aren't crippled on Verizon and B) aren't buggy as hell like the A900. Does anyone actually buy LG GSM phones anyway?
As much as I hate LG that thing looks nice.
This is a really hot phone!
This phone looks very sleek. It's a A900 and RAZR love child.
I wanna get this.
If this was CDMA/EVDO, had T-Flash and a swiveling camera, it would be an A900 killer.
Unfortunately, LG runs around saying "americans prefer GSM" and make all their crappier phones(pm325 anyone?) CDMA.
This phone looks awesome!
Actually GSM has been buying LGs up. Their latest offering for Cingular is sold out almost everywhere. Almost every Cingular store in Chicago was sold out of the CU500's but I finally found a store with 2 left.
I am happy LG prefers to make phones for GSM and I cant wait to get this one. It will be a nice upgrade hopefully to my Cu500 which I love better then any razr I have ever owned (v3, v3c, v3m, v3i w/dap and v3i w/itunes).
Go Lg and go the the MG810, this thing looks hot!
