I live less than 20 miles outside of a major city area, and the mountains, redwoods trees, and tons of other things prevent us from getting good cell coverage. We have our own towers in the area, but even then, we will go from 2 to 3 bars to nothing, and then back again while driving. Wireless antenna boosters help beat those dead spots. Also for people who live in more rural areas, where the relay towers are very far apart, can also benefit from such a thing. <br>Products like this are not new.
