Just what we needed, more 700p pics
Alright, this is just getting silly. Either Palm's much rumored -- and quite
anticipated -- 700p is the worst kept secret in the industry, or
the fakesters are getting a whole lot better. The newest pics are from a supposed Verizon employee, and shed light on
that logo a bit below the Verizon branding on the back. Turns out it says "Access powered," which could be
good news for those waiting for an update to the aging Palm OS, or it could merely mean that Access is getting its
branding out on Palm OS 5 devices while they continue to work on ALP. Our fingers are crossed for ALP, but here's a better idea: why
doesn't Palm/Verizon/Sprint/someone just release the dang device and let us find out for ourselves?

Why does it have to be branded "VERIZON"??? Can I just get the SPRINT one, since whatever I get, everyone in this city will follow anyway? I think CINGULAR and TREO owe me one, for all of TEXAS TECH's Football coaches having the CINGULAR TREO...
:-)
Ever since the 600, it's been minor upgrades... and I'm not complaining, the Treo only needs minor upgrades to keep up with the times, it's always been cutting-edge goodness. The only thing my 650 wants for is broadband, a higher-res camera, and the magic eternal battery life that the future holds. I can't imagine needing much more than a "Treo 1000"... that bad mother will project its interface directly into your brain, and you'll thank it.
Here's a twist... Sprint has been rumored to be providing a new Treo something in May. Perhaps what we're going to see happen is Sprint getting the 700w while Verizon introduces and holds exclusively for a short period of time the new 700p?
Could happen...!
I'd rather see the rumored Treo 650 firmware upgrade on Sprint than anything else. With a wifi adapter, my Treo would be unstoppable...!
The treo 700p will come out for sprint in june. I was told by a sprint rep.
