Alright Q fans, we've got some good
news for you. We've received word that
Verizon and
Motorola are holding a joint news conference in New York this May
22nd -- no, not May 22nd 2007, though we should qualify that -- to announce the Q. We know, wipe the look of shock off
your face; we don't really have much more info to give you than that, but really, what more do you need? By this point
you're either completely sick of hearing about this thing, or have some insane pent up urge to get one, so for the
latter crowd: keep your eyes and ears tuned to May 22nd.

Just so an add in Chicago at a bus stop for the Q. On the corner of Chicago and Migigan. I stoped in the Verizion store on Migigan and they still had no answer of when.
Really looking forward to this, the Moto Q is a great device.
Isn't that what they said last yearHoly Cow, it takes them forever to release a phone.
Seriously (although I was pretty serious just now), why is the screen pushed off center when they went to such great lengths to have everything else designed in such perfect symmetry. It is kinda of an eye-sore to an otherwise beautiful phone.
Speaking of eye-sores, I always been so disgusted with the multitude of logos on cell phones since they first hit the scene back when I was in high school (you know, back with the Motorola Star-Tac and that). I can live with the Motorola logo but why do they have to muck up the rest of the phone with what is argueably the worlds two other worst logos people have ever seen - Verizon's new monstrosity and then Microsoft's piece of... OK, I'm done.
I agree with Ron -- way, way too many logos.
But, you know, I'm just not as stoked about the Q as I was when I saw it here in NYC at the press event. Yeah, it's thin. Yeah, it supports one-handed operation. But since I finally gave in and got the HTC-built 6700, I'm really much happier. Powerful device, and I still kinda (gasp) like the stylus. Sound quality has been superb, too (though that sometimes seems to be a crap shoot as far as build consistency).
Oh, and while everyone complains about Verizon's certification process, every other US carrier seems to be as slow or close to it. So, go big V. Now just stop adding logos like our phones are NASCAR vehicles.
Not only is this phone a joke, but the release date(s) and motorola's inability to actually launch this handset.
the MDA Vario has been out a lot longer, and is as strong a contender to this thing as you can get really. short of getting a smartphone like the i-mate SP5.
