Did Samsung rework the I320?
Wondering what's the holdup on getting Samsung's Q-killing I320 into your QWERTY-loving hands? We like conspiracy theories just as much as the next guy, and Sammy is doing their best to feed our rumor mill today with these seemingly incongruent pictures of two SGH-I320s side by side. Yes, we're as concerned as you that the model's hands appear to be attached backwards, but stay on task, folks: the device on the left appears to be lacking highlighted numeric keys and a slightly different D-pad. The device on the right, by contrast, looks essentially like the one we've shown you before. Go ahead and tweak that thing until you're blue in the face, Samsung -- we're just happy to know you haven't scrapped it. Hopefully you'll come to the party in time to do battle with the Q and Excalibur, eh?

The device on the left has keys shaped just like those on the Q, with the left half's keys slanted to the left and the right half's to the right.
The one on the right is the i320. The one on the left is the i320N.
The left one is the i320N! I have seen a couple folks using it on the train here in chicago. Looks really cheap like the old pagers with full keyboards. I thought it was an antique until i asked about it. Then he turned the screen on and its beautiful!
There are photos of the i320 next to a Motorola Q on the bottom of this page:

Dang, honey. If you're going to be a hand model, work on those hands already. Bit of polish? At least remove the old? They found her on the street, I'm sure of it.
So hey, smartypantses, what's the story on the i320N? Google yields it not. How all is it different?
Eric, There are no differences between the i320 and i320N other than what you see. In other words no feature differences, just styling. Neither is for a specific region, nor is one a major carrier exclusive. Carriers can simply choose which style they prefer to offer. Simple as that.
...and if Michael's going to do it, I'll be a link whore, too. ;) Here are my hands-on photos of the i320, including one next a Q, an h6900, and a Treo 700:

Rich, the phones are different. designed (not just outsides but insides as well) for differnet carriers. They will not beable to pick which one they want. As they are designed to allow the user use differnet types of functions based on carriers. As most phones coming out next year are being programmed. thanks for your time...
James, I was simply repeating what I was told by a Samsung Korea spokesperson this morning.
What we're saying is not that different. We're both saying the two variants are designed to be offered by different carriers. Therefore the carriers did have choices, and those choices have been made.
I was, however, told specifically by Samsung that there are no feature differences. I was also told there would be no major carrier exclusives for one model or the other.
forget her hands... look at those freaking brows!!!
Isn't this a mobile site? Not a model site?
