I see nothing wrong with such a phone. I still maintain that my Nokia 8260 was the best phone I've owned, and frequently long for the days of something so light and basic. That thing would slide in a pocket, get decent reception, and didn't cause trouble. Take the same form factor, add an easier to read 8-bit color screen and an address book which can be sync'd with OS X's address book and I'd be very happy.
