Sony Ericsson's Z610i says hello
It's just a little bit obscure what's going on in terms of specs and details over at Pocket Israel's joint with the Sony Ericsson's Z610i, but really, what do you need to know? Sony Ericsson's following up their Z520 -- which is a hot little number in and of itself -- but we will, of course, fill in the blanks as soon as we can. It's just nice to know what's coming down the pipeline, right?

izzat the speaker on the top of the phone, or a videocam?
i hope its a speaker. i hate those d*** videocam conference things.
This is the folow-up to the Z600. Likely NOT the z520, which has been followed up by the z525a. The z500's have the "roll hoop" antenna. The z600 never madeit stateside and, I think, is a 3G phone.
Meanwhile, SE need to get on with US carrier and deal-making. Their phones are always great, with a ton of features in a great package. But they need to get on with it Stateside and do some deals. Yes, the 'Mericans also need to sort their 3G acts out so we can get the M600 and P990 (before my 910 is too old to be fun anymore).
There are some specs from SE if you dig deep enough:
- 3G device
- The usual 176x220, 262144 colour screen that has been on the recent SE devices
- Bluetooth V2.0 with support for the Stereo Audio and Audio/Video Remote Control over Bluetooth profiles
- Audio Supported: AMR, AMR-WideBand, Midi, SP-Midi, mp3/mp4, Wav, Xmf, RealAudio, 3gpp
- Video Supported: Mp4, 3gpp, ASF, RealVideo
- Netfront Browser (version 3.3, WAP2.0)
-Streaming Supported: AMR, 3GPP Audio/Video, MP4 Audio/Video, Real Aduio/Video and even WindowsMedia Audio/Video
- Java MIDP2.0/CLDC1.1
