hey, what carrier is this going to?
I hope this scheduled for a sprint release within the year of 2007 but it looks grim. I just bought a 700p and want this phone.
Other than the loss of the stubby antenna and the subtle keypad differences, it doesn't appear to be much different than a 700w. I'm not wild about the SD tray, either. Sure, your card won't accidentally eject, but you'll also not be able to use it for any SD/IO devices. Is there any compelling reason to upgrade?

One other very significant difference is this device appears to be considerably thinner than the current 700 series. That in itself is reason to take notice.
Nice lookin, but I just hope it's more stable than my 650! Great potential, but it's so hard to keep the thing running without freezing and crashing all the time.
One issue that some might have with this phone: it uses a mini-SD card, rather than the SD card that other Palm Treos and even Palm PDAs have used...so for those who've invested in SD software and want to upgrade, there's going to be that additional cost of buying new software...
Is it me or does it look like the 8600 blackberry from the side?
