240 x 240 touchscreen?
LMMFAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Quite right. 240x240 only. However, given the small screen size, a higher resolution may render the text a bit too small to read.
Phone really not so has liked me...
The reason why the screen is 240 x 240 is more a limitation of Windows Mobile 5.0 than anything else. The Treo 600, 650, and 700p all have 320 x 320 screens, but that is because the Palm OS supported that resolution natively.
Windows Mobile 5.0 supports only 2 square screen resolutions : 240 by 240 (which you can think of as QVGA 240 x 320 with the bottom chopped off) and 480 by 480 ( VGA 480 by 640 with the bottom chopped off).
Palm could have led the way by jumping to 480 by 480, but I think that that resolution display is hard to come by right now.
Back to this phone, hopefully with double the RAM and Flash on the 700wx, that the performance of Windows on this phone will be greatly improved.
240 x 240 screen? mega mobile. like cold-weapon... but the prise for beauty is very much.
