Cingular finally launches RAZR V3i
After much hemming and hawing the past few months -- including a couple of false starts -- you might like to know Cingular's finally freaking released the RAZR V3i. Yeah, seriously, it's on their site now, we're not even joking around. It'll cost you $250 after 2 year agreement and $50 mail-in rebate, but if for whatever reason you're still super into this phone and don't feel like waiting around for Moto's new lineup (or the iPhone, har har), then by all means, get your iTunes on, pallies.[Thanks to everyone who sent this in]

about time, I got mine in june from ebay i just got cingular mp from a website its pretty nice.
the v3i is no big deal. they should have released the 6126 first. it is a much better phone..
Sorry to bust your bubble but I believe Cingular has decided not to offer the Nokia 6126...or maybe they'll just launch it with the N80...
The N80, 6126, and 6282 will launch simultaneously - just after hell freezes over.
As for the v3i - "meh".
Umm so buying the phone elsewhere costs just as much as getting it with a contract? To bad I've had this phone for months or maybe I'd think about not buying it.
It's sad that Cingular is charging $300 ($250 after rebate) for this phone, especially when their authorized resellers are selling it at a much lower price. For example, Amazon.com is currently offering Cingular's RAZR V3i for $100 ($80 after a $20 rebate), and CompUSA stores are currently offering the phone for free after instant savings.
Cingular takes so long to release a phone, that most "tech savy" people just opt not to buy one from them and instead buy an unlocked version. Geez, with the price Cingular wants, you can get an unlocked phone for almost the same price, & without the "we keep you locked to us for another 2 years" deal.
sure you can get a v3i for $300, but why wouldn't you want to get a free macbook pro as well?
i know where you can get one...

My question is this. Why does it take so long for Cingular to get these latest phones out? The V3i has been out for awhile, and while I heard that the V3i delay was due to a problem with getting a hold of TransFlash cards....still, why so long?
If the V3i took so long; is that indicative of how long it will take the RAZR Maxx and the KRZR to hit Cingular? The Sony Erricson w810i has yet to reach Cingular and that's been out awhile too.
I wonder if Cingular felt it was bit in the ass by launching the ROKR E1 right away, and it didn't take off.
