Anything that makes the cellphone camera better is a good thing for me, since I use mine for work related purposes. I was carrying my Sony DSC H-1 in the car, but didn't really like the idea of it getting ripped off.  I use a Sony Ericsson W810i which has a "good enough for government work" 2.0 megapixel camera with a really nice macro.
