While Samsung was looking the other direction we caught a quick hands-on of the Ultra Edition 12.9 (aka D900) slider. It's as thin as they say (ok, thinner), with a slick slider spring, fast input response, and looks to write home about. We may not all be in agreement over Samsung's choice of user interfaces, but somehow we think few will take issue with this sucker. Click on for some more shots.
While you are poking around at the Samsung booth, is there any way to find out if the SGH-i310 (the 8GB windows mobile phone) will ever see the light of day anywhere in the world?
michael, those are already released in south korea. and the 4GB version is already out on ebay, seller x1387 just had them for 358 USD shipped but it seems like his auction has ended without a single buyer. model SGH-i300x
Thanks Roess3, but i the 4GB version runs WM2003. A big deal had been made about the 8GB version- back at CES. The FCC just approved it last month, but still no dice. The version in Korea is different in that is also gets the Digital Mobile Broadcasts. I've simply been waiting since January for the 8GB version. I think it's been passed over for all the "Q" killer devices.
“One wonderful Samsung addition to the traditional Android experience is a "real" camera button on the side, which can even register half-presses for focus.”
Now that we've thrown 'em off the trail, use the form below to get in touch with the people at Engadget. Please fill in all of the required fields because they're required.
