Ok, you know us, we're mad suckers for QWERTY equipped HTC devices. It's just kind of a fact, we love 'em. So we were stoked and all about the
HTC Artemis that was due out, but it wasn't anything keeping us up at night. But then we got our hands on one last night, and it was way thinner and sleeker than we'd imagined, especially for a GPS-equipped handheld. That scroll wheel felt just like a Sansa e-series (except even more solid), and dabbed in the middle was a scroll ball a la the
SideKick 3 and
Pearl. It was a little overwhelming, but we can understand their need to overcompensate for input options when not equipping it with a keyboard. Oh, and do click on for some more shots.
Funny, it just looks like my (very) old Palm Vx. My first PDA.

Well I still cant imagine , as you didnt show us a side view. Any chance ? Also, can I have the lovely carpet in the background of the excaliber phones for full effect.
It is thinner than the 6700 but still WAY too thick - I believe it is about 3/4" - Still seems like a brick compared to the http://www.engadget.com/2006/08/23/tech-faith-wireless-sells-501-under-ubiquio-brand
What exactly is the point of showing 5 pics that all basically look the same? Retarded..
Pics are good - but where's the details man? How do the rest of us HTC phone addicts get our hands on one?

Well if you want conclusive information, tech specs etc, best place to go for that (imho) is the XDA-Developers site, wiki and forums... http://xda-developers.com
Sure, it's a plug, but I've used the site week in, week out for a year and a bit now, and I've survived several major tech problems (mainly of my doing) and I've learnt a helluva lot too. You want stats, go there. Engadget for the win for the continued eye candy though.
Despite my insane passion for XDA Developers, I think Bengal Boy's previews are more useful. But it's always nice to see this device, interesting mashup.
It seems that in every shot and preview, the screen looks a bit blurry - is that just bad photography or a true reflection of the viewing angle of the screen? You need a bright screen for outdoor GPS.
Bad call on the processor for this device though. Slow...
