LG's VX9900 caught in the wild?
Ok, you know the drill by now. HowardForums has a purported shot (on left) of the thinner, sexier successor to the VX9800 communicator, the LG VX9900 we first trolled from the FCC (pic on the right) back in May. We're still hoping for this QWERTY clam to roll on Verizon sometime this month as reported by our own Boy Genius or sometime between September 29th and October 13th according to the rumor jockeys ridin' the HoFo. Hell, let's just say any day now and leave it at that mkay?

Since you guys are at the CTIA Wireless show, why don't you try to find out some info about the VX9900 directly from LG. They already let the VX8600 slip out. Maybe they'll give some info on the VX9900.
Hey Sam K got a good point there. Its about time we see another pic of it. And dam, gotta wait another month for it to come out???? And is the CTIA wireless show coming to New York????
This phone is so UGLY! another disappointing release from VzW...!! and i've been waiting and waiting for this phone... why isn`t there any nice looking QWERTY phones??? slim like a RAZR type.. ?? i don`t understand... TXT msging has been the highest ever mean while those COMPANIES still don`t understand we need QWERTY phones that look good and are small.. some stupid people working there... who wouldn`t want to buy a slim glossy finished QWERTY (black color) looking phone?
gk, it's amazing how you can come up with such assumptions by a fuzzy picture of the phone posted on a website. Have you ever thought to wait until the phone comes out before you post judgement?
Just so you know, this handset is the same thickness as the Chocolate Handset, which is a wee bit thicker than the RAZR flipped closed. It's actually half as thick as the VX9800. But you wouldn't know that by looking at this fuzzy pic of the phone. Oh, and I know this because I've seen the phone, held it and played around with it. So I do know what I'm talking about.
Nice improvements to a nice phone but...does anyone recall the Motorola V200 (Camelot)? Wish they would come out with an improved version of the V200..gk> you would love it...as would I. Hey Engadet post a pick of the V200 and the 9900 side by side...maybe Moto would take the hint.

Junknugget, it's really the same thickness as the Chocolate?? Half as thick as the 9800? That's real hot, my plan ends next year so maybe I'll wait for the "10000" or whatever the 9900's successor will be called :P
hey junknugget relax, i don`t need a good quality picture to see a phone and know that the front design is just ugly.. whoever disgned dialing keys in the front got that job because of good networking... seriously... Why can`t they release a phone that looks like chocolate from the outside and you flip it like 9800 and inside you got a QWERT keyboard for txt messaging.. why not? somebody tell me? technology is way more advanced then this..so don`t tell me all of it won`t fit on.. I tell you why.. VERIZON WIRELESS is one cheap company, i know it. i worked for them... They want LG to produce phones as cheaply as possible and phones that i was talking about i would like to see would def require more money to produce..so they figure.. whatever.. lets produce this junk.. Also Verizon claims that the reason why their phones comeout so slow is because of RIGOROUS testing.. HAHAHAH.. yeah sure... every phone that i have sold had some type of an issue...either software or the phone itself.. weak reception, lousy speakers, quiet ringers, horrible displays, weak batteries, so on and so on....

yes that mot v200 looks great.. something like that with a more of a chocolate glossy finish would be great.. :)
not everyone likes glossy . . . but dont dwell on that too much gk. I currently work for verizon in Ct. and I hate the chocolate, cause EVERY SCRATCH SHOWS ! ! ! Unless you know ppl that never ever drop their phone or keep change or pens or keys in their pocket, the design looks perfect w/o the glossy. LG has made alot of phones that are reliable and functional without the most cutting edge look (ie: 6000, 7000, 8100: all of which I own'd) and not just pretty looking (ie: 710, 815, v325, RAZR, all of which i also own'd and returned with in a week due to Motorola not knowing how to wright softwear to save their life!) so ya i guess looks are the most important thing, ya?
Hi I have the tmobile sidekick 2 n use it all the time for AIM and web browsing. Can anyone tell me how these new Verizon phones and plans compare. I need AIM and internet, how much will Verizon charge for that. I pay 39.99 for cell plan and 19.99 for all internet with tmobile. Is verizon's internet as quick as tmobiles? I looked at the Q from verizon in their store, and it didn't have AIM...can I access AIM from its web browser? Please reply. Thanks so much!!
