Another option: samsungs for t-mobile and cingular have a powerpoint viewer and tv-out most projectors I've seen accept the yellow composite input. $10 cable on ebay if your phone didn't come with it in the first place.
I've actually done this and it works well, you just lose the transitions and dont get wireless remote control but I still think its a fair tradeoff and especially useful when a situation presents it self that you have not planned for
