Samsung intros X530, E250 slider phones

Samsung looks to be set to let loose a pair of new slider handsets, with a bevy of pics of the X530 and E250 cropping up on Czech website iDNES. Complete details are a bit sketchy (and in Czech), but the X530 (pictured above) looks to be a slight variation on the D900, packing EDGE support, along with Bluetooth, IrDA, and the bare-minimum VGA camera, all in a 13.9 mm slim package. We first caught wind of the E250 late last month courtesy of our friends at the FCC, but we unfortunately don't know much more about it than we did then -- though you can peep a nice pic of it after the break, and couple more by clicking on the read link.

Nice looking phones. Too bad we never know what carriers are getting what phones. Yea, I could love a phone but can't get excited because I don't know if a new phone will be offered by my carrier (T-Mobile)

Doesn't really matter what nice phones we see now. By the time it's available in US, it'll be another year or two.

I think you are misrepresenting this phone. Sure it has a infrared port but it only can be used for contact information transfeers - what good is that for when compared to other types with infrared connectivity. No it doesn't have blue tooth as you quote. The user manual was written by a monkey, infact seriously a sad attempt at a modern mobile phone- I will stick with my Nokia thanks.

Basic phone, bad sound, ring tones are pathetic and so far cannot download new ones, infra red does not do anything, cannot connect to pc suite, cannot download pics, it is not an mp3 player. Basic vga camera with low reolution and the worse thing is the extremely low battery life 48hrs on standby, Come on Samsung up your game. It looks cute and has large buttons for clumsy fingers.
I give it 4 out of 10
