True, the handful of shots of the VX9800 Communicator successor over at Phone Scoop are only marginally better than the last batch, but we know there are some Verizon peeps out there waiting for this thing to hit retail. For people that text message the 9800 or V is a great phone. I have had mine since they came out for verizon. Crystal clear calls (despite internal antenna) and the kb is a big plus. My only complaint is that the 9800 is a little clunky due to thickness. The new 9900 appears to address that.

Some people want to text and not have to buy a smart phone or a crackberry to do it.

Great we all get a pic, but yet no spec info and no info on its release date. Dam Verizon sucks as usual!! I guess I gotta wait another stinking 10 months for it to come out!! :/

god that thing looks so sexy still! and i really doubt it'll be 10 months, i believe the rumor is that it's comin' out before thanksgiving, as long as it's out before xmas i'll be happy, this is my xmas present :D

well i work for a cell phone repair shop and the parts to fix the 9900 are available to order... so it should be available very soon. I will have one.

actually i talked to someone from verizon and the phone is supposed to be very good, also its coming out sometime in november, that for sure the month, although not many people know the exact date, at least not that they're releasing to the general public :( i'm excited anyway....

I work at a Best Buy and we have a verizon rep him and i have become very close, unfortunatly he doesn't even know the exact date it is going to come out..all he told me was that he spoke with an LG rep and he said sometime early to mid november...so...sigh we'll have to keep waiting
