You've still got all their software to content w/ (myfavs, for instance). The price is good because a Pearl is the same price.  With the Dash, I get a full keyboard, wifi, and larger screen.<br><br>As most people have commented, the keyboard is awesome. Nice feel compared to the BB or Q. If you first buy a phone w/o the plan, the software doesn't show. When they activate a MyFave's account the software shows up.  I'm not sure if the same software dissapears once MyFaves is no longer in use.<br><br>As for unlocking, TMO will give you an unlock code for any of their phones upon request. The only catch is that you must have been actively using the phone (i.e. subscribed for service) for at least three months.<br><br>TMO is great with stuff like this. I've used almost every phone/PDA possible.  I'm still stickin with my BB 8700g.
