Now that the
Treo 700wx has been available on Sprint for just over a month, it only seems fitting that Palm would come to their senses and make it available for Verizon Wireless. Well, not only does it make sense, it also seems like Palm and Verizon Wireless are planning on doing so according to Roc A Fella's latest intel. Preliminary reports show the device being slated for launch mid-December which is just shy of one year that the
original verison was released. Now only if you wouldn't of just bought that
8703e
i think you mean to say holiday cheer*
Hello and welcome to yesterday.
There is a hardware difference. The 700wx has 64MB of RAM (program memory), whereas the 700w only has 32.
Yep, the 700wx has 64MB RAM vs. 700w's 32MB.
"Now only if you wouldn't of just bought that 8703e" ???
Oh come on guys, you are like parrots repeating what the person above you just said. Idiots... really, most of you are.
There's more to the phone then just a "reflash". And even if it was that easy, they arent going to do so just because of the fact that they can move more units by releasing two different versions of the same exact phone. Take the A900 on Sprint. That was out for a few, then they came out with the same exact phone with a more recient software version and "Themes"... It's all a marketing scam to sell more units. And idiots are drawen into it and becoming a statistic.
Why not just skip the 700wx and come out with the 750w? What am I missing here?
Isn't the 750 supposed to be the GSM version of the 700?
#10, yes there is a hardware difference. The wx has 64MB of ram and the w has only 32MB of ram. I, for one, am very happy about this b/c I am constantly hit the w's ram deficiency.
Does anyone know the policy if you just passed the 15 day return date on a 700W?........
any firm date on this were switching to verizon in december and i wanted this phone not the normal 700w which gives so many problems
Actually, there is zero proof so far that the 700wx really has more ram than a 700w. It could very well be just allocated more logically, in which case the upgrade COULD be done via software only. But it's also possible it truely does have more ram. Only one way to find out, and I'm expecting to have a 700wx to take apart fairly soon...
