Sure, it wouldn't hurt if Nokia shaved a few grams and/or inches off a couple of these, but we got our hands on the new
"Music Range" 8GB N91, the
N75 which packs WCDMA and quite a bit of screen for a flip, and the utterly decked
N95, and we can't say it was an unpleasant experience. Both the N75 and N95 were quite impressive in the LCD department, and the N95's sliding action couldn't be much smoother. Anyways, we know you're not here for our half-baked opinions, so go ahead and peep the pr0n after the break, we don't mind.
au contraire; they have pictures on nokia.com. Besides the smooth slide what was your first impression; even if it is about the plastic
Nokia's always been one company you could count on for a really great keypad (unless, of course, they've gone all N-Gage or "fasion series" on you). The N75 looks like the most straightforward, easy to punch string of numerics I've seen in some time.
Please, Nokia. Release a US version of the N95 and I'll buy it today.
The question is when (and if) these phones will drop stateside. I am talking about N75 and N95 of course. I could not care less about N91.
They have all these proto's at the NYC Nokia flagship, and I have handled them. The N75 is impressive for a flip, the N95 is amazing but a little chunky the dual slide is smooth and feels good in the hands. The N91 feels surprisingly solid and good in the hands I would use this as an iPod replacement. According to the rep I spoke to N95 will not be sold here, N75 will but he wouldn't say which carrier but being that Cingular is the only 3G game in town it's obvious.
Re #2: Don't forget about the somewhat great, but ugly and bad keypadded 3600-3360.
PLEASE RELEASE N95 IN THE UNITED STATES, NOKIA!!! This is the cellphone I've been waiting for, and then I saw the announcement it won't be released in the US. ARRRRGGGHHH!
That last one is a blade r1p0ff.
The N95 will NOT be released for the US, although Nokia stated that they will release a "US variant" of the phone sometime in 2007. See MobileBurn's preview/hands on with the N95 for the direct quote.
Still, the N95 is quadband so what's stopping you from buying one?!? I'm getting one as soon as it's released in Europe/Asia.
Yes, yes... when will the N75 be released here. I, too, believe that Cingular will be the carrier but when!? I need a little more than "Q4." Particuarly since most of the time, these phones get delayed over and over... and then not released at all (well it seems to have happened a lot of Nokia's on Cingular).
Well I think Nokia is waiting to see what frequencies will be required for 3G in the US...then once T-Mob will decide exactly on the frequency then Nokia might possibly release N95 US version with Dual WCDMA (as in 1900/2100 or who else knows what but I pray that they will release this phone. Using it and not taking advantage of UMTS on it here in the US would be a crime against humanity.
