What the heck is the Sprint phone with the apple? This is a) a GSM phone and b) not an Apple!
What's with that Apple logo?
The Apple logo is most likely a variation of a screen theme. Don't worry, I'm sure if Apple were to want into the game they'd just purchase the Treo line outright with all their iPod money..
I heard that was the new Apple Cell phone.

The "apple" phone is theme. The picture is of a 700wx on Sprint (complete with antenna). I think the wrong side of the pic was cropped.
It's just a theme on (probably the poster's) comparison Treo. You can download a similar theme for Nokia phones here:

Haha, it's funny that everyone picked up on the Apple logo first.
The first thing that shot into my mind as I was scrolling down the pics was, "Eh, these are just ok... whoa, what's THIS?!?" Then I realized it was a Sprint Treo 650. I may have to pic one of those pups up! You just sold me on it Engadget!
So when are they available for Cingular? Probably next year:)
Seriously people, have you not used phone themes before? Sprint phone with Apple theme shown side by side for comparison purposes. Geez.... The real question here is why is there no WiFi? Whats wrong with adding WiFi to this friggin phone. And I was so ready to get one.
Why would you buy a provider's expensive data plan if you could use free WiFi? ;)

How sad. It says "Access Powered" instead of Palm Powered. Just really sad.
Its a 700p and thats the dial pad skinner with the osx theme.

What were they thinking?This phone is not even out yet and it's already outdated.A VGA cam!EDGE, no 3G!
No wonder they say it's more close to the 650.
And gotta wait for all the way in mid '07 for such an "old" phone and at $199!They expect people to buy them when other companies like HTC and Samsung,Blackberry or Moto are releasing appealing and feature-pack smartphones.
so it has a VGA cam? wuts gonna be the difference between the 680 and 750? do we have an idea of whether the 750 will be coming to cingular? im really happy with cingular and my 8700 but im just curious
Keep in mind this is an entry-level Treo and for it to have all the features with a lower starting price, I'd have to say they have a winner.
The cool looking colors will really appeal to the younger consumers. I love the copper color.
I personally won't get it since there's no reason for me to ditch my Treo 650, but if I didn't have the Treo, I'd be excited.
Now, we just have to wait for the MAJOR marketing campaign to take advantage of this and get the word out that the new Treo is cool and hip. Move over, iPods!
I am DYING to get rid of this HTC brick I got sold onto (8125). I lost my Treo in Cancun, hopefully someone's putting it to good use. I was addicted to my Treo 650 and can't wait for the 750 to come out, I'm having withdrawals.
Maybe Palm will surprise us with Wifi (pah). Treos would sell like condoms if they included Wifi.
Cingular should put Wifi as an extra option into a data plan so their hotspots could be used more often.
*could the only difference between the 680 and 750 be the UMTSHSPDA vs EDGE only, and WM vs PalmOS?
I actually dig the 680. Hopefully I can replace my 650 with a white one soon. That said, anyone know where I might get the Apple skin that's on the Sprint Treo?
The keyboard buttons look bigger and easier to use. Too bad it's PALM OS, I'm sick of Palm OS's 1980's design. I want something more current like WM5 or Symbian.
Any ideas when it will be available on Cingular?
Would nokia and palm start offering the choice of a black phone? I can't be the only person that just wants black as a color choice on a smartphone.
As mentioned above, the treo 650 in the picture is running Skinner, using a skin I created. I've also created some a couple nice Tiger-influenced skins available from the Skinner site:

I usually don't dig white electronics, but for some reason I love this in white. Sexy.
