Samsung SGH-A707 "SYNC" launches on Cingular
In the midst of all the Cingular Music hoopla today the SGH-A707 (also known as "Samsung's way of apologizing for the ZX-20") got itself a quiet, dignified little launch, but not without getting slapped with a new name: "SYNC." As its name vaguely suggests, the SYNC is a heavily music-oriented device -- as many featurephones seem to be these days -- with a dedicated Cingular Music button chilling on the keypad. Features that make this Cingular's hottest 3G clamshell yet include touch-sensitive external music controls, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, and a 2-megapixel camera, not to mention microSD expansion and solid support for garden-variety multimedia. Look for the SYNC to make an appearance in stores and on Cingular's site... well, real soon now at a $50 price point on contract with rebates.

With the Samsung cellular phones they typically come with a rebate. Also the displays are crisp and clear with intuitive menus. The weakest feature with some of the Samsung cellular phone is the speakerphone.

announced != launched
hell, *they* don't even say it's launched.
Congrats, Blake (#1), that's the dumbest poll I've ever seen in my life.
every page i read about this phone says it has a flash, but all the picture seems like it doesn. is it hidden?
Does anyone know if there is a way to transfer mp3 from
Mac to the handset?
I love this phone except this problem.
If you have bluetooth on your mac you can send the mp3 to the phone via the bluetooth connection.
I thought I read that it had a flash somewhere before I bought it, too.
It doesn't.
I like the phone, but it misses on a few points - once they get the "sync" part of the SYNC together (the software) it'll be a decent media option
It DOES have flash. above the silver button on the right there is a cover over where a SDmicro goes in.
Are you talking about a flash for the camera? The only thing I see is a place o put a memory card.
I am looking for a way to transfer pictures to my Mac via BlueTooth. Is there a way?
is there a way to transfer data to the sync other that msmp (ie itunes)
