Bang & Olufsen preps Earset 2
Nokia's BH-800 not high class enough for your expensive tastes? Bang & Olufsen might just have your number with their Earset 2, the wireless followup to their (aptly named) Earset 1. The aluminum-clad headset, Bang & Olufsen's first to use Bluetooth, apparently features two microphones and some newfangled gadgetry to optimize the transmitted sound quality (think bone conduction, but with less bone conduction and more microphones). Look for the Earset 2 to drop early next year for somewhere north of $200.

Is there a whirlpool behind her in the water or what?
I think it's the loch ness monster. Even Nessie likes this bluetooth!
Common guys, read into the picture more here, they're trying to make a splash with the new BT venture!
That's not much of a splash. she should be inundated with waves of water. Maybe it's a reference to ripple effects. Now, all bluetooth manufacturers will be forced to make higher quality products! Maybe Jason Vorhees hs returned! Maybe she's fishing with the ultra-new Bang & Olufson fishing rod! There's really a myriad of possibilities...
cmon guys. of all three of you I can't believe there wasn't one of you smart enough to see that its the headset... except in the water. its the picture of the headset... wow. schooled by a 16 year old
Ohhh.. so the water's into bluetooth! I'm fascinated...
cmon G,
get a grip. we all see the headset reflection.. but the idea is not just as the eye sees....
it's more about B&G making new 'vibrations' hence the reference to bone conduction.
I'm liking the Loch Ness Monster theory better...
My local B&O store is selling this headset for $350!! It's a nice headset, but it ain't THAT nice.
OK...I just bought one of these as a gift and now I want one (but can't afford two in one month)! It is a fabulous piece of equipment and even if so many people say it is too expensive, I would have to say too expensive than what? Too expensive than the one I can't hear on...too expensive than the one that others can't hear me on...too expensive than the one that hurts my ear?
This is a killer technology in both design as well as performance and don't go listen to it unless you're ready to buy one 'cause you'll want one so much, you won't believe it!
Just a note to confirm that I am having tremendous difficulty with the earset2 I just bought and a cdma (verizon) Palm 700p. Palm replaced the phone, no better, BO says they have heard about the problem with a 700p, but don't have enough data to be able to figure out what is going on other than a bad sync. Since I am on my 2nd phone and second earset2, at least they have consistency. The BO tech guys are really helpful, and want all the info, but don't know what it is yet. Basically, it is a loose sync probem (my description) and if the phone is more than 18 inches from the earset, too much static to use. And they say it is really great on every phone but the type I own, and the 700p is not exactly a budget phone.

let's just say for the moment that they were free, all bt headsets.
i prefer not looking like i have a cap off my bic stuck on my ear.
most of these devises are painfully stupid looking.
most of the people wearing bt ear buds wouldn't look any better than they normally do with krugerrand ear rings.
so, the earset 2 looks too good for most folks and works just fine.
never admit that your telephone accessories look better than you.
and, it;s only money.
