Motorola RAZR V3r drops iTunes like a bad habit
When we first caught wind of Motorola's RAZR V3r for Cingular, we thought "whoop de-doo, a red V3i." Well, turns out we missed one critical detail: the V3r eschews iTunes support for a more traditional MP3 player. While that's good news for folks that aren't a big fan of the infamous 100-song cap, it might irk some iTunes junkies that are going to have a slightly more difficult time toting their locked music around with them. Then again, we're all about choice, and the V3i is still available. Look for the V3r for a reasonable $100 on contract after rebates -- and no, not a dime of that cash is going to RED this time around.

This was announced at the same time as the original v3i in 2005. Motorola said they wanted to offer a version with and without iTunes. Your headline is very misleading . . . And FYI, both versions have been available for a year now elsewhere around the world.
This thing is listed at $199 on their website w/ a 2 year contract. Where did the $100 price come from?
They are talking about cingular not moto or anyone else. and yes its very interesting that CINGULAR launched a version without itunes. I think thats awesome, but what angers me , is that they still cant(cingular) launch a version with edge, when t-mobile was able to get moto to make one one for them. yes the v3i has been out for a long time in maroon, both with itunes, and without, but not on cingular.
Day 1 on the site, it was listed at $149 with contract and a $50 rebate, making it $99 in the end. They Changed the price today to $199 with contract and a $50 rebate making it now $149 in the end. you didnt factor the rebates in.The price in this artical was correct at the time of posting, adding in the rebates which you over looked.
