Verizon LG enV launches, QWERTY nerds rejoice
Certainly no secret up until now, the VX9900 (aka the enV), successor to the VX9800 (aka the V), predecessor to what will surely be dubbed the VX10K (aka the Flying V), is now officially out -- November 27th, as stated. It can be had for as little as $150 with two year agreement and rebate, and features that fat QWERTY keybord, tiny ass bezel-tastic display, EVDO, 2 megapixel camera, Bluetooth 1.2 with A2DP, OBEX, AVRC, microSD slot, WMA support, and all the V CAST support you'd ever want. Online now (big surprise), ready for ordering.

well i've had my phone for a while now and its great i love it like crazy!!! texting is soo much easier! i txt more than i talk i send about 1500 text in a month maybe more!! its incredible i cant wait for the new env! heard it is going to b sweeter than the voyager!!!! yeyyaa!!! go VERIZON!
does it come in green?
Nice looking phone. I have a TMobile phone now but I am seriously thinking of switching to Verizon when my contract is up. I am not too thrilled with TMobile.
None of my friends like LG. NONE. But I always knew LG will beat the market.
Looking good. If it had a bigger screen and Pocket PC it would be mine.
I've got it and the main screen is amazing. The camera is surprisingly good, it's got autofocus and all that. Very nice. I couldn't be happier.
Does anyone know if these are available to play with at Verizon Wireless stores yet (esp. in Manhattan)?
@ Bart: It should be
Looks like they could have made the internal screen bigger, lots of black space around it! But still a sweet phone!
does anyone know how aim works on this phone? is it unlimited with vcast or does it use up your text message allowance?
thanx :)
They should be in all verizon stores by now.
the aim works just like normal. it will eat up txt messages each time message is sent/received.
Anyways I got the phone a few days ago and I put up a review with pics of the actual unit (not photoshop rendered product images). Check it out if you are interested.

My understanding is that it uses text messages..
as many people on the HoFo forums were belaboring the fact that Verizon doesn't have an Unlimited Text Plan like T-mobile does for the Sidekick
I asked the Verizon store rep today and he said AIM doesn't consume txt, but I'm inclined to believe the user.
@Eliot Phillips
Verizon reps will say anything to get you to buy LG.
@ Ry
You don't speak for Verizon reps, you don't speak for me or any I know. I would NEVER intentionally decieve a customer for ANY reason. And why would a Verizon rep care if a customer of ours gets an LG or anyone else? It's not like were making spiff's off LGs.
Just got it!! Awesome phone so far! Great quality pics and video on it!! Now just thinking, "what would the upgrade of the 9900 be like?"
Just go the phone a couple of days ago - pretty sweet. The internal screen is glorious, if a bit smaller than I had expected. People whine about the external screen being too small, but its fine for basic phone features.
And regarding Verizon reps - every one I had dealt with has been an ass. I go in there knowing what I want, I wouldn't trust their recommendation on sandwich, let alone a phone.
getting one for christmas :)
so with the whole AIM thing, whats the official news? eats up texts or it doesnt count against it?
ya i would like to know about the AIM also.. Is it your entire buddy list or only 30? Also will one of you guys post a pic of how the phone looks with AIM on..
thanks
