seeing the CDMA companies upgrade their data services to the point where it competes with my FiOS connection at home(the theoretical maximum is far better than my landline, but the typical speeds will be more down-to earth, and have some nasty latency, unless your antenna is physically attached to the cell tower.) makes me even happier to be a sprint customer. maybe with all this VUE and UMB stuff, sprint can convince samsung to release some high-end stuff here that's normally reserved for the south korean market. if they take the SPHP9000, add UMB and regular EVDO to it, ship it to the united states, and release a linux distro fully compatible with the EVDO capability the hardware boasts, then it won't just be a convergence of UMPC and mobile boradband, it'll be a convergence of gadget lovers and samsung fanboys/girls.
