Verizon Wireless to launch Mobile TV soon?

With rumors flying like hotcakes about Verizon Wireless, their much anticipated Rev. A network's launch date, and MediaFLO, we thought it would only be fair to add more fuel to the fire. According to a post from Howard Forums, it shows the big V planning on releasing Mobile TV on January 30th in correspondence with a flurry of hints given by Qualcomm regarding their release of MediaFLO. Our guess is that in the coming weeks before and during CES you'll see announcements regarding handset availability and channel lineups.

Is this for real? Wouldn't the Titan and Libra be referred to as the 5800 and 6800? Also why does the i760 say (Robin)? The Robin is the U740 I thought?

Thus document has been floating around for several months now and is legit. Or make that WAS legit. While the release date for certain devices (like the Rev. A data card) were pretty much dead on, the release dates for others (the Pantech PN-829 and the Samsung SCH-U740) have come and gone with no sign of any imminent launch. So I wouldn't get my hopes up that the date for the mediaflo launch or any of the other smartphones are 100 percent certain.

This screen shot was actually taken from an older document published internally around the end of November. There are more docs that show one hell of alot more, but it takes some digging. I have seen pretty much all of them, and this info is outdated by at least a month right now.

the dashboard is customizable UI skins for the devices background. Generally these skins would be available for download via GIN.

So, JMD. What do those newer documents say about a release date for the Pantech smartphone? Any mention of the Samsung i770 (flp PPC with suretype keboard) coming to VZW?

yeah and sadly the more we leak the information the more it gets pushed back. Its a sad thing. So basically all we can say is that they will come out just can't guarantee a time

Trust me Brad, if I had a price and date it would have been given already. :-) I want the phone too its flippin cool but I got nothin yet. See the tytn (6800) didn't have a release date on the picture... same as the 700wx just saying it will happen. On the mobile TV that relates to this thread... its good stuff. Not released in all markets and those that do have it aren't the ones I would expect(New york for example...yeah no tv) but I know its coming out soon
