No WiFi built in????? Even with the switchover to PPC/WM Palm/Access is setting itself up for a ride straight into the dustbin if they continue to have carriers dictate design specs. Of course, with the 680 rollout, the brain trust at Cingular has boxed them selves into operating a two teir data network for the forseable future. Smart move, morons.

I just got the 680. I would have rather got the 750 if I knew it was going to come out a month later. I kept reading it was going to be put off.

Why do you want wifi on a phone? If 3G isn't a bad enough drain on the battery, wouldn't wifi be worse? If you really want / need something with wifi, go get a $499 dell laptop.

The other thing that annoys me anymore are these phones supposedly for business folk that all have cameras. Outside of BlackBerry it is hard to find one without a camera anymore. For those of us who venture into many manufacturing facilities, this is a major drawback.

I really couldn't care less if the phone has a camera. In fact I would like it more if it didn't.

As for those who believe that the phone is not worth it...surely you've never received a msg from a friend who was logged into yahoo... they request a file they know you keep on your phone (like me)... yet they want it sent to there email account and to there phone as well as via yahoo... this is the ADVANTAGE of threaded chat... you hit reply, add in there phone number and email... they get the attachment via yahoo, also no there phone as an MMS and in their inbox as an email from your phone. In WM5 without the Palm enhancements, that would take three separate msg and you'd have to track them via three separate applications, not in one thread... which oh by the way is under your friends contact name and flows like a chat and identifies each method in which you contacted/responded to them. I'm owed the HP6515 the Cingular/HTC 8125 (current phone) the Blackberry Pearl and the Treo(s) 600 and 650 and I've been waiting for this 750 since it was announced... as for the camera in secure spaces... a piece of copper over the camera is good enough, if not you're probably doing something wrong in allowing that phone user in a secure area anyway...:) Bottom line if you are a person like me who has two batteries for his laptop, keeps the GSP (hp5900rx) constantly charged and linked to my cell phone via Bluetooth for weather and traffic up dates and listen to Sat radio vice FM/AM... the price is not even on the radar of being high...
