MOTO Q PRO gets official
This one almost slipped right by us: earlier today Motorola formally announced the MOTO Q PRO, which we first heard rumors about back in October. This one is about the same as the original Q -- it's 11.5mm thick, QVGA display, Windows Mobile 5.0, EV-DO, just loaded up with productivity apps (viewers for Excel, PowerPoint, and PDF files and an editor for Word docs), enhanced security features like data encryption, and the ability to disable the camera (which is a big deal for a lot of enterprise users. It's listed as being available now, though they don't mention a carrier in the press release.

Yawn...at least it has an extended battery and personally I prefer black over the silver. But I don't know if it warrants the "Pro" being added to the name.
Disabled camera? As long as the camera is still physically on there, I don't think "disabling" it would be enough for those that can't have a camera on their phone.
2 things:
#1. @#1 Pro is short for professional. It is no capable, out of the box, to work with M$ Office. Professional apps those.
#2. @#2 The camera disablement is probably controlled through an outside system. It would be kinda like what RIM does with its systems. The camera will be disabled through an IT department. As it stands now the current Q can be wiped clean of any data remotely.
