The problem with both phones is that 0 and "dial" are quite closely placed. Remember how Steve Jobs dialed "4" during the keynote, trying to type in 408? I would put dial "over" the phone number on top.
There is a button on top "Dial..." and when you type in, the name changes to "Dial 4" then to "Dial 40", etc. Then you touch the number to dial.
