The Boy Genius Report: Nokia N92 Unboxing

Boy Genius -- Let's just the Nokia N92 isn't a small phone by any means. It's also not that US-friendly, but that didn't stop me from snagging one. It comes with with the usual Nokia goodies like a USB data cable, 64MB miniSD card, headphones, charger and software booklet. Powering this hefty puppy on wasn't as fun as I would have hoped due to the sheer size and weight of it; the keys are some of the worst implemented i've seen. Instead of normal buttons they have a sheet of plastic over them (think: buttons on a microwave). You can't watch DVB TV and there is no US 3G or 850mhz support so our friendly advice is stay away, although the $850+ pricetag should help as well. Nevertheless thanks to CTI-Miami for sending us the phone. Click on for more pics including a nice side by side with the HTC Cavalier!

I think Nokia is carrying this "retro chic" thing a bit far. What's next, a phone that looks like a Intellivision Football game?
Nice !
You will can find a complete unboxing and more pics on that website : http://www.evenmobile.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=3557
Eeek..... what's the point of snaffling a digital TV device that err..... doesn't work in your area? The N92 is only being released in specific markets where there's tie-in with DVB-H transmitters. 8-)

thanks evenmobile. awesome pictures
This is my most anticipated phone. But unfortunately, after hearing this news of features not working in the US, I will switch to anticipating the Samsung A717 for now.
Glad to see the N92 get some pub in Mission Impossible III. ;-)
I'm glad to see that this phone is still getting some attention. I still want it, but it's going for around $1k in America right now, and I want to pay around $300 so... we wait
