O2 prepping Xda "Atom Life" and "Flame" Pocket PCs
Ooh la la, Xda Flame, how could we forget you? You stole our hearts a couple months back with mere rumors of your existence, and now that your impending release has been confirmed, we're about ready to pack our bags and head for greener pastures (that is, parts of the world serviced by O2). Best of all, it sounds like everything we heard about the Flame might be spot-on -- the 3.6-inch display, NVIDIA GPU, 2GB of onboard storage -- everything. Then again, the also-announced Xda Atom Life is no slouch either, packing a full gigabyte of Flash, HSDPA, and the promise of a white variant down the road. We'll gladly take either -- with support for HSDPA 850 / 1900, please.

It is all true. The phone is a wreck. I experienced it first hand. Got my O2 atom life in singapore on 04 Jan. 3 weeks down the road, the LCD cracked. Goodness!!? The best part is the so call Customer service from MWG. To put it bluntly, there is no service at all. They won't reply your emails nor give you a direct answer. Tactless and simply unhelpful. Guess what, the managers at the call lines, don't even dare to answer my call. What a waste of my money. You get a far better service when you purchase a $38 Nokia phone.
wow.
those are sick phones.
can i import them to the states and use on one of our GSM carriers?
Once this is released, please post up a supplier if you find one. I have not, as of today. Been looking all over Singapore and Australia websites.
do a search on the net and you will find plenty of issues (hardware issues) going on with the atom life. For example. after a few months many users have experienced: poor customer call centre service, buzzing phone, hard resets, poor battery life, buttons not working, call dropouts, loose screens, slowness, etc. The O2 atom life is generally rating poorly followed by poor ratings for younger cousin O2 Atom. Not my opinon, its fact. check out: http://www.businessmobileasia.com/products/handhelds/0,39062255,40031860p,00.htm OR... http://www.gsmarena.com/o2_xda_atom_life-reviews-1834.php OR search the net .. o2 life complaints, issues etc and you will see what i mean.
