Verizon and LG prep Strawberry Chocolate

Same phone, yet another color with a punny name. This time, though, the name's a bit of a stretch (come on, guys, strawberries aren't pink) and the phone is getting a little long in the tooth; good thing, then, that it only runs $99 after rebate on a two-year contract these days. Look for the latest hue to hit as a web exclusive starting February 4.

My wife has been waiting for a pink version from verizon, but of the chocolate FLIP, not the slider. Has anyone heard any rumors of the flip getting new colors?

As far as I can tell there are no signs of color changes in store for the VX8600. It really isn't in the "Chocolate" line up, its just LG's response to the RAZR.

actually the 8600 was not the response to the razr it was released before the krzr over seas and motorola BIT lg's style and released the krzr...secondly it IS identical as far as software in the phone to the choco....just a different form factor....and NO as of now no alternate colors have been mentioned for the 8600

i don't think i've ever seen strawberry flavored chocolate. or lime flavored chocolate, for that matter. sounds pretty gross to me....

WOW, 15 year old girls are gonna love this. I know a lot of people don't want new phones from Verizon like a SLVR, but instead want a new grrrly color of played out phone... YES! Does anyone know if this phone has a compartment for my sparkle lip balm??

@6: I don't really care for the Chocolate, personally. BUT, what is the big deal that there's a pink version?? It's a Valentine's promotion, that's all. Nobody says anything when Moto slaps fresh paint on the same crap RAZR's, which, I might add, are longer in the tooth than the Chocolate!

first of all the pink color in phones while only appealing to 50% maybe 51% of the market is probably the hottest color and lg will make a killing off of the Strawberry chocolate. girls from 6 to 66 will be online buying this one--too bad its online only, they(vzw) probably could have made a lot more money, but just wait cuz last year the pink razr was a 14th day special only and now its full time! also, The 8600 will not come in any other colors. Strawbery chocolate is delicious. And if you have never had a chocolate it realy is a cool phone although it may not be for everyone.

Well,I just ordered strawberry chocolate off line and it hasn't arrived yet but Iv'e already fell in love with it .It's pink and has the best features.I love the name .I think the strawberry chocolate is a great phone and I can't wait til it gets here.
