It just doesn't work. Either a keyboard or a flipphone. The dual-hinge thing always looks goofy.
A flip phone with a full QWERTY keyboard, very nice. What OS does it run on, Windows Mobile? The WM seems to be in every new smartphone that's coming out recently.
Could be a winner unless it's saddled with verizon's custom-crippled OS.
I've been waiting on this phone. Hopefully, it'll live up to the hype.
*yawn*
Yet another mediocre Samsung handset. Giant "who cares".
"Could be a winner unless it's saddled with verizon's custom-crippled OS."
Of course it's got the VZW UI. Why would it not?
I've played around with the phone a little bit. The hinge is very sturdy and the UI is really nice. "The Network" has got a real winnner on its hands. Verizon has stepped away from using the same UI on EVERY phone now. Anything that's come out recently has had its own user interface.
Crippled? How so?

Seriously... what more do you seriously NEED and must have that this phone doesn't do? (assuiming you aren't looking for an actual PDA/smartphone)
it does not have a platform. it runs like the 9900 and 9800. verizon ui. it is a great phone and the hinge is very nice and easy to use and adjust. i played with one at a kickoff event and it was very nice. a lot thinner than i thought it would be
Why is there no GSM version of this phone? :(
and no a2dp :~p
I got this phone yesterday! I loooove it =) Texting in landscape mode is interesting - the letters being so close together will take some definite getting used to, but I'm loving the phone so far.
first problem.
I have gone threw the phone and i found a problem.
the get it now apps for new ringtones are not there.
i have conntacted verizon and they say its a phone issue. Iswaped out the phone and had the same problem. Im sure it will be addressed with the first software update. other then that it works great, the coolest phone i have ever owned
A friend of mine has this phone and I think it is great. By far the greatest combo of slim, sleek, but with qwerty that I have come across. Unfortunately nothing else like it is around yet and I have T-Mobile. Anyone hear of more models like this in the pipeline for other networks, like TM?
