Alltel to get the black Motorola Q

Just like the Sprint boys before them, it seems CDMA carrier Alltel will be getting the Motorola Q sometime soon based on the rather blurry (but legible) cellphone cam shot of the above box. Yes, that's the black version of the Motorola Q in a trademark purple Alltel box. Dates? We can only guess, but with this full box in plain view (somewhere), we're guessing pretty soon enough. Specs? The standard specs from Sprint's recent Q unveiling most likely, which means everything we know about the Q already along with sweet EV-DO data speeds.

Its actually the gray Q that Alltel is getting. We have gotten our demo in our store and several reps including myself have used it.

As of the last update which was Friday we still have no definite release date.

Last time I check was Mar. 21.....(my b-day)...and they still had no update....they were trying to convince me on getting a Treo 700wp...but i'm sticking with the Q. (-: I KANT WAIT!!!

Alltel is releasing the Q tomorrow March 28th. They have them in the store now! I can't wait to get mine.

Actually they release them on the 29th.....who ever told you that, was not being honest. I went to alltel today after work and all the reps said the 29th, and that they dont have prices yet until thrusday morning.

My Rep left me a message Mon. that the Q would indeed be available on the 29th @ $199 with a $100 rebate.
