Hands-on with Helio's hot hot Heat

This Heat showed up at our doorstep today (that'd be the phone, not the post-punk band), and we have to say, we're swooning. We're a little bummed the Heat doesn't have a memory card slot, but that excepted, this is by far our favorite Helio phone to date. It's strange that this is positioned as lower end than the Drift, but that's cool, you can save a little cash and get a nicer phone that's even a little smaller. Even stranger than it being positioned as "lower" than the Drift is that this handset exists at all. It's basically a Drift minus the MicroSD slot. If Helio is all about the music as they claim to be, what the hell good is a phone with 136 MB of space?

Well, the Drift does have a microSD card slot and a 2mpx camera. I think those justify the Drift as being "above" the Heat... even if this phone is otherwise sexier.

That said, I'd take either phone if it were available on Sprint itself!

Isn't this just a rebadged Samsung d807? Am I missing something?
