t-mobile has roughly 25 million customers... and it runs on its very own network, not on cingular's. and there's no talk about cingular taking over t-mobile. t-mobile is a subsidiary of deutsche telekom, and part of the international t-mobile group, covering 120 million people worldwide. t-mobile uk and t-mobile germany are the largest mobile phone carriers in their respective countries. so unless cingular tries to get the whole t-mobile group, i doubt deutsche telekom will let t-mobile usa go anywhere.
